Game developer CD Project, known for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher, said it was attacked by hackers. The attackers have collected certain company data and are asking for a ransom.

The developers say they will not give in to the requirements and will not negotiate with the hackers. They also claim that the players’ personal data has not been stolen.

The hackers said they got access to the source code of Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Gwent and the “unreleased version of Witcher 3”. Attackers threaten to publish the source code and internal documents of the company if it does not comply with the requirements.

CD Projekt said it had protected its IT infrastructure and started recovering data from untouched backups. The company also notified the relevant authorities about the incident.
