A database of 21 million users of popular free VPN services for Android is offered for purchase on shady forums. A large-scale data breach was reported by CyberNews. 

According to the information released to the public, one of the users of the hacker forum posted for sale three archives with databases, which, as follows from the description, contain the credentials of millions of users, mobile device data and payment information, passwords and email addresses stolen from Android VPNs. -services: SuperVPN, GeckoVPN and ChatVPN.

VPN applications allow users to change their real IP address to visit Internet resources blocked in their country and partially maintain confidentiality about the devices used for this.

The SuperVPN app has over 100 million downloads on Google Play. For GeckoVPN and ChatVPN, these numbers are 10 million and 50 thousand, respectively.

In July 2020, Sputnik radio reported another major leak to the Network of personal information about users of blocking bypass services.
