In theory, a chatbot using artificial intelligence will be able to give answers more appropriate to the context of the search query. These can be not just links to relevant information, but formulated phrases that resemble the reaction of a living person to a question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If Microsoft uses this technology in Bing, then it should help the search engine compete with Google and its Knowledge Graph – panels with a summary of information that appear on the right side of links for some queries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is not yet known exactly how Microsoft intends to implement ChatGPT in its search. Probably, at first, such options for search results will be tested on small groups of users at their request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although Google is constantly improving the search engine with its own algorithms, the company does not intend to launch its analogue of ChatGPT yet. Earlier, its representatives said that the use of chatbots threatens reputational losses due to the imperfection of the technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The head of OpenAI, Sam Altman, also stated that it would be a mistake to seriously rely on ChatGPT in any important areas in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relying on it in any important areas right now is a mistake. This is just a preliminary version of the real progress.
